The first lines of Late Bloomer are: “you never give up…you never will…you know what it’s like…you know how it feels to want something so bad”. That “something” for me, has always been to be able to connect with the world through my music for mutual healing and emotional connection. “While everyone else was settling, you were holding out to feel something, because without love, it don’t mean anything”. I found that to be true in all aspects of life, whether it be love life, work life, family life, social life, etc. I think I wrote this song back in late 2004 as a letter to myself to hang on and not settle for less than your dreams. Today, everything is happening just as it should. As a full time singer/songwriter and vocal coach, I find myself doing what I truly love. I’m now, myself, a Late Bloomer on my own timeline. I can say with love that “today’s that better day."
